About JAG Studios

JAG Studios is more than just a streetwear brand—it’s the realization of a deferred dream. Founded by Jorge Alberto Gutierrez, a Latino, queer, undocumented immigrant artist, JAG Studios is a powerful symbol of resilience and the pursuit of dreams despite adversity.

Jorge’s journey began in his senior year of high school in East LA, where he created a class t-shirt design that quickly became an overnight hit. With little resources and a lot of determination, Jorge raised money from his peers to fund the first batch of shirts. This early success sparked a lifelong passion for creativity, but growing up in a marginalized community, he was pressured to pursue a “practical” career. Despite earning a communications degree and navigating the challenges of being an immigrant, Jorge’s creative fire couldn’t be extinguished. He moved to New York City, attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, and began working for nonprofits, always finding ways to give back to his community.

Today, JAG Studios stands as a testament to Jorge’s resilience and vision. Inspired by the industrial elements surrounding him and the hard work of migrant communities, JAG Studios aims to empower people of color to pursue their own dreams. The brand's mission is simple: to give back, support communities, and inspire others to build their dreams from the ground up.

At JAG Studios, we believe it’s time to stop building someone else’s dream. We’re here to set our foundation and build our own, brick by brick. Too long have people of color been underrepresented in the world of fashion and streetwear. That’s why we’re committed to giving back a portion of every item sold to organizations that support and empower people of color.
